DISC

Information and Advice Service

If you're disabled person, a carer or advocate, you may prefer to talk to someone who has personal experience of disability.

DISC Bullet Preston DISC is run and controlled by disabled people.

- A team of advisers are trained to give information.

They understand that you need time to talk about your information needs - they won't fob you off - they'll ensure that you have all the information you need, however long it takes.

Do you sometimes feel that you would like to talk to someone who is independent of other information providers you have dealings with, such as the Benefits Agency, Social Services etc?

All these organisations are experts in their fields - but DISC bullet Preston DISC is totally independent.

There is no charge for information or advice - the service is FREE!

All enquiries are dealt with in the strictest confidence. You can call into the service or make an appointment to see someone privately if you prefer.

The service operates from Monday to Friday, 9.30am to 4pm and an answerphone is in operation out of these hours.

Disc bullet DISC is always looking for disabled volunteers and people with personal experience of disability to assist in the running of the organisation.

Training will be given in the skills needed to work in the information service.

If you would like more information, please contact,

Mark Buckley, Information Service Manager, Tele: 01772 558863.
